This program’s core focus is on providing emerging artists with the tools and skills they need to excel and advance their music careers in this digital economy. By providing artists with access to industry experts and innovators, they will be guided on how to incorporate Web3 into their work throughout the program and beyond. Participants in Mastercard’s Web3 incubator will learn how to mint and sell their content as NFTs, build large and passionate communities, and represent themselves in the digital world, among other things.
Mastercard expands its bet on blockchain and metaverses
Because of its impressive scaling performance and previous experience collaborating with leading Web3 brands, the Polygon (MATIC) platform was chosen as the technical partner for the new program. As previously reported, Polygon (MATIC) will collaborate with Disney Accelerator, the media conglomerate’s global business development initiative, in July 2022.
By joining Polygon, Mastercard reaffirms its commitment to expanding its Web3 presence. Previously, the team hosted the first Grammy event in the purpose-built metaverse with Roblox. In October 2022, it also launched a cryptocurrency program for institutions in collaboration with Web3 payment processor Paxos Global.
